Akram Tawfik, Al Ahly’s football first-team player, is currently recovering from an ACL injury, but he was keen to congratulate his teammates after reaching the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals after defeating C.F. Monterrey 1-0 in Abu Dhabi.

Following the team’s qualification to the semi-finals of the competition, we caught up with Tawfik to hear his thoughts on the game.

“I am so happy that Al Ahly won tonight’s game. It’s normal for Al Ahly to win all the games. I am confident that the players can put on a great performance against Palmeiras in the semi-finals.”
