A friendly win over Stade Tunisien
The Reds kicked off the pre-season friendlies in style with a convincing 4-1 victory over Stade Tunisien on Monday.
Mohamed Sherif marked his return to the Red Castle with a clinical brace, making an immediate impact in his first appearance back in the shirt.
Achraf Bencharki and Mohamed Abdullah also found the net, scoring on either side of the break to round off a dominant performance from the Reds. Stade Tunisien’s only goal came in stoppage time at the end of the second half.
Head coach Jose Riveiro made full use of the squad, rotating 25 players throughout the match to hand valuable minutes to nearly every member of the travelling group. Next up, Al Ahly will take on CA Bizertin this Friday in their second pre-season fixture.
