Abdelhafiz: It Was Important to Win the Three Points

Sayed Abdelhafiz, Al Ahly’s director of football, spoke following the team’s 3-2 victory over Al Merrikh SC of Sudan in the CAF Champions League group stage.

Here is what Abdelhafiz had to say on the game:

 “It was important to win the three points today. The game saw several turning points, but what matters the most in this stage is to collect as many points as possible.

We expect this season’s competition to be very difficult, as all the teams are much better. We have to do our best in order to win the tournament this season.

Everyone is prepared to face us and we all saw that during the past couple of games. Therefore, we also have to be ready for each game.

Finally, we have to be concentrated very well during the upcoming period as we will be entering a decisive phase of the season. Therefore, we only have to think about football and avoid focusing on any distractions.”
