Abdelhafiz Speaks After Team’s Victory Over Al Merrikh

Sayed Abdelhafiz stated that the team achieved an important victory tonight against Al Merrikh, adding that it is an important step in the team's campaign in the CAF Champions League this season. 

Abdelhafiz also criticized the dates of the final round against Al Hilal. 

“These are the type of games which you need to win no matter what happens. Al Merrikh are a tough opponent and they adapted well to playing at Al Ahly WE Al Salam Stadium, where they played the last four games.”

“As for Tau, he was not substituted due to being injured in his quadriceps. He only picked up a knock in his knee.”

"Today’s victory is very important but that is not the end. We have to win our next game against Al Hilal to qualify to the next round.”

"I can not adjust the dates of the final round. I do not understand the reason behind facing Al Hilal on either 1 or 2 April while the second leg of the African play-offs is set to be played on 29 March. There is no logic behind such a decision."
