Akram Tawfik joined Al Ahly’s first-team squad at their current preseason training camp in Spain on Thursday morning.
The Red Eagles completed the signing of Tawfik late on Wednesday on a three-season contract as a free agent.
Dr Essam Serag El-Din, head of the club’s contracts sector, completed all financial and administrative procedures for the transfer in coordination with football director Wael Gomaa.
Al Ahly are currently holding a pre-season training camp in Spain, which will run until 20 August.
