Al Ahly face CF Badalona in friendly during Spain camp

Al Ahly’s first team will take on Spanish side CF Badalona in a friendly on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. (GMT+2) at CEF Bosc de Tosca, as part of the club’s ongoing training camp in Spain ahead of the new season.

Head coach Hussein Ammouta is expected to use the match to assess a large number of players and gauge their technical and physical readiness.

The fixture will also provide an opportunity to put into practice some of the tactical ideas and set plays worked on during training in recent days.

The coaching staff are also looking to build greater cohesion and understanding among the squad, with the aim of ensuring the players reach peak readiness before the start of the official campaign.

Al Ahly’s training camp in Spain will run until 20 August. The team are scheduled to face Barcelona on 19 August at Spotify Camp Nou in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
