Al Ahly warm up for new season with 3-0 win over Spain’s CF Badalona

Al Ahly’s first football team secured a 3-0 win over Spanish club CF Badalona on Wednesday in the first friendly of their current training camp in Spain as they prepare for the new season.

Ali Mahmoud opened the scoring for the Red Eagles at the start of the second half before Oktai Abdullah doubled Al Ahly’s lead. Ahmed Sayed Zizo scored the third goal to seal a 3-0 victory.

The coaching staff used the match to assess the players’ physical and technical readiness and improve understanding between the team’s different lines.

Al Ahly are currently holding a pre-season training camp in Spain, which will run until 20 August.

The Red Eagles are scheduled to face Barcelona in their final friendly of the Spanish training camp on 19 August at Spotify Camp Nou as part of the Joan Gamper Trophy.

They will then return to Egypt to begin the new season with a league game against Al Sharqiya Enppi at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, 23 August.
