Al Ahly have appointed Walid Salah Eldin as the club’s new football director, while Emad El Nahas will assume the role of interim head coach during a transitional period.
The Red Eagles’ sporting director Mohamed Youssef said the appointments followed three days of intensive meetings by the club’s planning committee, chaired by president Mahmoud El-Khatib, to chart the team’s direction for the coming phase.
"After a series of consultations and a proposal I submitted, the committee approved the appointments of Walid Salah Eldin and Emad El Nahas to lead the team through this interim stage," Youssef said.
Discussions are still underway to finalise the full technical staff, with further announcements expected in the coming days.
