Al Ahly defender Yasser Ibrahim will miss Friday’s Egyptian Premier League match against Pharco FC due to a muscle tear in his left thigh.
“Medical scans have revealed a muscle rupture in Yasser Ibrahim’s left thigh,” Al Ahly team doctor Ahmed Gaballah said on Thursday.
“He will not be available for the upcoming match against Pharco FC and will begin a rehabilitation programme in the coming days to assess his return to full fitness,” Gaballah added.
Ibrahim was part of Al Ahly's squad during their 2-2 draw against Modern Sport in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.
Al Ahly host Pharco FC in the second round of the league at Cairo International Stadium, with kick-off set for 2100 local time (1900 GMT).
