
Al Ahly hold evening training session ahead of Super Cup final
Al Ahly’s first football team hold their evening training session in Abu Dhabi as part of their preparations for the Egyptian Super Cup final against Zamalek.
The highly anticipated clash is set to kick off at 5:30 p.m., Cairo local time (GMT+2) on Sunday at Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.
Al Ahly delegation, headed by engineer Khaled Mortagy, departed their residence in Al Ain and traveled to Abu Dhabi to gear up for the championship decider.
Danish head coach Jess Thorup praised his team’s strong performance in the semi-final against Ceramica Cleopatra, highlighting their dominance throughout most of the match and their well-deserved qualification for the final.
He noted during the post-game’s press conference, that only the final minutes saw moments of danger from the opposition.
Thorup emphasized that Al Ahly arrived from Cairo with one clear objective: to win the title and bring joy to the club’s passionate supporters, whose unwavering backing continues to drive the team forward.
