Al Ahly to face Libya’s Al Hilal and Maqassa in friendlies

Al Ahly football director Wael Gomaa said the first team will play two friendlies during the international break as part of their preparations for the next stage of the season, after returning to training on Sunday at Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium.

Gomaa said Al Ahly will face Libyan side Al Hilal on 30 September in their first friendly of the international break before taking on Maqassa on 3 October in their second warm-up match.

The coaching staff had given the players four days off following the suspension of domestic competitions for the international break.

The team returned to training on Sunday evening at El Tetsh Stadium to resume preparations for the upcoming period.

The coaching staff are looking to make the most of the break through the two friendlies, using them to prepare the players and improve their technical and physical readiness ahead of the resumption of competitive action.
