Al Ahly’s senior football team will travel to Burundi next week on a private jet ahead of their CAF Champions League round of 32 first-leg clash against Aigle Noir.
The Red Eagles' coaching staff have set either 15 or 16 October as the departure date for the trip to Bujumbura, where they will face the Burundian side.
Aigle Noir reached the round of 32 on away goals after a 1-1 aggregate draw with ASAS Djibouti Telecom, advancing following a 0-0 result at home and a 1-1 draw away.
Al Ahly, who received a bye in the first preliminary round due to their top ranking in CAF's club coefficient (78 points), are bidding for a record-extending 13th Champions League title as they continue to dominate African club football.
