Al Ahly wrap up friendly schedule with 3-0 win over Maqassa

Al Ahly’s senior football team defeated Maqassa 3-0 in a friendly match held on Friday evening at Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium at the club’s Gezira headquarters, as part of the team’s preparations for the resumption of official competitions after the international break.

Aqtai Abdullah opened the scoring for Al Ahly in the first half, before Achraf Bencharki and Hussein El Shahat added two more goals after the break to seal a 3-0 victory.

Al Ahly had previously beaten Libya’s Al-Ittihad Misurata 4-2 in their first friendly during the ongoing international break.

Head coach Hussein Ammouta and his coaching staff used the two friendlies to give all players playing time and boost their technical and physical readiness ahead of the return to competitive action.

Al Ahly will face Petrojet on 7 October in the Egypt Capital Cup.
