Al Ahly FC have approved the travel of centre-back Ahmed Abdin to Portugal for a trial with FC Famalicao, following his impressive performances at the recent FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Famalicao, who sit fifth in the Primeira Liga with 19 points from 11 matches, have been tracking the young defender since the tournament, where he stood out for his composure, technical ability and physical presence.
The trial is expected to serve as a first step toward a possible transfer, should the Portuguese club make an offer that meets Al Ahly’s valuation and the player’s ambitions.
