Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour has been diagnosed with a viral infection, identified as “Virus A,” following medical tests, the club’s doctor, Ahmed Gaballah, said on Tuesday.
Gaballah confirmed that Ashour’s condition is stable and his hospitalisation is precautionary. A personalised treatment plan will be implemented in the coming days.
The doctor added that preventive measures were taken on Monday morning, prior to the confirmation of Ashour’s diagnosis.
All players and coaching staff underwent comprehensive medical screenings, with all results returning negative.
