Al Ahly's board of directors, headed by president Mahmoud El Khatib, was keen to congratulate  Mr. Hany Abo Rida on winning the membership of the FIFA Council and the membership of the Confederation of African Football’s Executive Committee.

The club's board has complete faith in Mr. Abo Rida and believes that he is able to continue his successful career and represent Egypt in the best possible manner. 

Abo Rida was elected as a member of the FIFA Council and a member of the CAF Executive Committee by acclamation in the elections that were held today in Morroco.
