Al Ahly left back Mohammed Shokry has been ruled out of the upcoming Egyptian Premier League game against Ghazl El Mahalla after sustaining a muscle strain.
“Medical scans have revealed that Shokry is suffering from a muscle strain,” said Al Ahly team doctor Ahmed Gaballah.
“The player will undergo a recovery and rehabilitation programme in order to be fit for trainings,” he added.
Al Ahly are set to face Ghazl El Mahalla in the fourth round of the league on Monday, 25 August.
The Red Eagles opened their league campaign with a draw against Modern Sport, before securing a 4-1 win over Pharco FC in the second round.
