Al Ahly women’s first basketball team secured a convincing 103-42 victory over Zamalek on Saturday in the opening round of the Egyptian Basketball League.
The game was played at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Hall at Al Ahly Club’s headquarters in Gezira, where the Red Eagles delivered a dominant performance to secure an emphatic win.
Al Ahly made a strong start, taking a 37-23 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The hosts continued to control the game in the second quarter, extending their advantage to 62-27 at halftime.
Al Ahly maintained their dominance in the third quarter, taking an 80-35 lead before completing the match with a 103-42 victory.
Earlier in the day, Al Ahly’s U16 women’s basketball team also defeated Zamalek 93-37 in the league competition.
