Al Ahly’s first-team doctor, Ahmed Gaballah, confirmed on Monday that an MRI scan revealed Achraf Bencherki has suffered a hamstring tear.
“In coordination with the club’s football director, Walid Salah El Din, I have been in contact with the Moroccan national team’s coaching staff, who are monitoring the player’s condition and overseeing his initial treatment program,” Gaballah said.
The situation is being evaluated to determine whether Bencherki will be able to continue participating in the Arab Cup or return to Cairo for further recovery and rehabilitation.
