Al Ahly SC officially received on Tuesday evening the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirming the club as the rightful winners of last season’s Egyptian Premier League title.
The club’s legal adviser to the football sector, Dr. Abdallah Shahat, said it had formally obtained the 29-page decision issued by CAS regarding the appeal filed over the league title.
The ruling rejected the rival club’s appeal, upheld Al Ahly’s right to the title and ordered the appellant to cover the associated costs and legal fees.
