EFA Responds to Al Ahly’s Letter
Al Ahly SC’s board of directors received an official response from the Egyptian Football Association regarding the club’s previous letter which requested for foreign referees to officiate our remaining games in the league.
The Egyptian Football Association stated in their letter that the top five football European league associations (England - Spain - Germany - Italy - France) are all unable to send referees to officiate the club’s upcoming two games against Tala’ea El Gaish and Ceramica Cleopatra due to them being busy with officiating games in those leagues.
Moreover, this is not a final decision from their behalf as the Egyptian Football Association could reach an agreement with them later on in the season.
Furthermore, the EFA clarified that they have no problem in bringing foreign referees to Al Ahly’s upcoming two league games but due to the shortage in time we find that to be difficult at the moment.
Finally, the EFA concluded by saying that they want to be informed with the rest of the games which Al Ahly wants to have foreign referees in once the EPL Committee releases the remaining schedule for the league games.
