Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib met with the club’s planning committee to finalise discussions over the appointment of a new foreign head coach.
The meeting was chaired by committee head Mokhtar Mokhtar and attended by member Zakaria Nassef and sporting director Mohamed Youssef.
Discussions focused on two shortlisted candidates for the role.
El Khatib was briefed on the committee’s assessments of both coaches, along with input from football director Walid Salah Eldin and sporting director Youssef, to ensure alignment with the club’s selection criteria.
El Khatib is expected to make a final decision in the coming hours.
