El Khatib's Message to Al Ahly Players

Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly's president, held a meeting with the planning committee at the club's premises in Gezira. 

El Khatib discussed with the committee's members, Mohsen Saleh and Zakaria Nassef, the recent decline in the team's results in the Egyptian League. 

The meeting was also attended by Hossam Ghaly, the club's board member, and Sayed Abdelhafiz, the director of football. 

The aforementioned officials then held a meeting with the coaching staff and the players at El Tetsh stadium. 

Al Ahly's president told the players that the board provides them with everything they need to achieve success and that they have already shown that in the last two seasons with the titles they have achieved. However, he is not happy with the team's performances in the last matches, which come before the most important period of the season. 

El Khatib mentioned to the players that they did not show the determination and spirit in these matches and they have to bounce back and return to the winning ways, adding that the continental success should not affect our performance in the domestic competitions. 

Finally, El Khatib stated that he trusts the team and they will never lose his trust and support, but they need to put an end to this decline. 

Our team will enter a closed training camp, starting from next Tuesday, as part of the preparations for the two games against Algeria's ES Sétif in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
