Al Ahly interim coach Emad El Nahas praised his players’ performance after their 1-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League on Friday.
“I thank the players for their spirit and fighting attitude. We created more scoring chances but missed them. The important thing is that we showed determination,” El Nahas told a post-match press conference.
“We are confident the players can keep winning in the coming games,” he added.
The coach acknowledged the team’s injury problems but said Al Ahly’s squad depth allows them to cope.
Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” scored the only goal at Cairo International Stadium to secure the win.
