Amr El Soulia, Al Ahly’s football first team midfielder, spoke after winning the bronze medal of the FIFA Club for the second consecutive season with Al Ahly.

Al Ahly’s football first team won the club’s second consecutive bronze medal of the FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia 4-0 at Al Nahyan Stadium on Saturday.

El Soulia put on an impressive performance tonight and scored our fourth goal in the game.

In his post-match interview, El Soulia conveyed his emotions following the victory and reflected on the team’s seventh ever participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

“We are so happy to please our fans. We were focused on the game and we managed to achieve the victory.”

“We wanted to reach the final, but we faced difficult circumstances that lead us to participate in the third-place playoff.”

“Pitso Mosimane held several meetings with us before the game and told us that we must win the game to return to Cairo with a bronze medal.”

“We had many tough games in the competition, as we managed to defeat Monterrey and Al Hilal, but we lost to Palmeiras.”

“All the players put on a great performance and I hope to return to the competition next year and accomplish greater achievement.”
