Ribeiro puts finishing touches on Al Ahly’s preparations for Modern Sport

Defending champions Al Ahly continued their build-up to the 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League season with a training session at the club’s headquarters.

The Red Eagles are scheduled to open their campaign against Modern Sport on Saturday, 9 August, at Cairo International Stadium.

Players began the session with gym workouts, following the program set by the coaching staff, before moving on to tactical drills during ball training.

Head coach José Ribeiro used the session to outline the training schedule and emphasise the technical elements he intends to implement during the ball exercises.

Al Ahly prepared for the new season with a training camp in Tunisia before resuming practice at El-Tetsh Stadium, located within the club’s headquarters.

During the preparation period, the team also played several friendly matches, concluding with games against Egypt’s U20 national team and Petrojet at Al-Salam Stadium earlier this week.
