Ahmed Abu Abla, the team’s doctor, stated that Akram Tawfik will return back to Cairo in the next few days in order to continue his recovery program.
Abu Abla added that Tawfik, Al Ahly’s midfielder, is recovering well from his ACL injury in Doha and that he follows up with Tawfik’s doctor.
On a different note, Al Ahly’s football first team returned back to training after a 48-hour rest following the team’s qualification to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League after defeating Raja CA 3-2 on aggregate.
