Ten-man Al Ahly lose 2-1 to WE SC in Egypt Cup

Al Ahly's football team suffered a 2-1 defeat to WE SC in the Round of 32 of the Egypt Cup at Al Salam Stadium on Saturday.

The Red Devils dominated possession in the first half and took a 1-0 lead four minutes before the break, thanks to a strike from Omar Kamal.

WE SC equalized in the 82nd minute through substitute Mostafa Fawzi, sending the match into extra time.

Al Ahly’s chances of progressing were dealt a blow when winger Taher Mohamed Taher was shown a second yellow card just five minutes into the first period of extra time.

Fawzi then sealed the win for WE SC in the 110th minute, scoring a powerful shot from inside the box to send his team through to the next round.
