Al Ahly winger Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” said the 1-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra on Friday underlined the team’s determination to please their supporters and maintain their winning momentum.
“I am happy with the victory and I hope we can keep winning in the coming games,” Trezeguet said after being named Man of the Match in the seventh-round Egyptian Premier League fixture.
“All the players deserve credit, and above all the fans, who are always our number one,” he added.
The Red Eagles controlled possession but wasted several chances before Trezeguet broke the deadlock in the 26th minute with a strike into the far corner.
The Egypt international said he is targeting more silverware with Al Ahly.
“For sure I am looking forward to winning all the trophies, including the league title, to please the fans,” he said.
