Al Ahly and Egypt national team captain Mohamed El Shenawy, has extended his contract with the club through the 2027-28 season.
The extension was finalized during a meeting with Dr. Essam Serag El Din, head of Al Ahly’s Contracts Sector, and Wael Gomaa, the club’s football director.
El Shenawy expressed his deep appreciation for the recognition shown by the club and its management, as well as his gratitude for the unwavering support of Al Ahly’s loyal fans, whom he described as the club and its players’ “backbone and support.”
He added that he and his teammates are fortunate to have such passionate supporters, whose encouragement consistently drives them to work harder and strive for more victories and trophies.
