After a goalless draw, and a disallowed goal, against Misr El Makkasa, Team Manager, Rene Weiler, highlighted that the team was successful to create many chances to score, but came in short on converting it to a win.

Al Ahly’s game against Misr El Makkasa ended with a goalless draw on Saturday night at Cairo Stadium.

“The Egyptian league is very competitive and there are no big differences between the teams,” Weiler said.

In his debut season as Al Ahly manager, Weiler became the first Swiss manager to win the Egyptian league title as he led Al Ahly to clinch its 42nd league title in the club’s history.

Weiler commented on today’s draw, saying “We created many chances but we failed to use them. We also scored a goal but it was disallowed. I am satisfied with the players’ overall performances.”
