Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly head coach, decided to give his players a 24-hour rest from training on Sunday.
The players will be back in action on Monday to continue their preparations for the next game.
The Red Eagles are set to face Smouha on Thursday in Matchday 4 of the EPL Cup group stage.
