El Shenawy: We Prepared Well for the Game

Mohamed El Shenawy, Al Ahly’s football first team goalkeeper and captain, spoke on Friday ahead of the team’s match against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

In his pre-match press conference, El Shenawy talked about the team’s ambitions for the game and reflected on Kaizer Chiefs’ warm reception to Al Ahly.

“It is a tough game. We prepared well for the game. We were unlucky last natch. However, this time hopefully we will be able to win.”

“I am very happy with Kaizer Chiefs’ warm reception. They showed love and support. It’s an important thing to have a good relationship outside of football. Despite facing them last year in the final yet they received us very well.”
