The Reds’ women’s team was held to a goalless draw against Zamalek in the Women’s Egyptian League.

The match started at a high tempo, with the Red Eagles creating the first real chances as Nadine Ghazi’s shot in the 12th minute and Menna Tarek’s free kick in the 22nd both narrowly missed the target.

Late in the first half, Mia Darden was fouled in the box, but the referee waved away Al Ahly’s penalty appeals.

In the second half, Zamalek pressed forward, but the Red Eagles’ defense remained resolute. 

The Reds nearly broke the deadlock again, but Nadine Ghazi’s free kick struck the crossbar.

In stoppage time, the Reds were given a penalty, but Charity Reuben’s shot hit the post, leaving both teams to settle for a goalless draw.
