Al Ahly’s women’s football team, under French coach Dimitri Lipoff, is gearing up for the new season with high hopes of achieving positive results.
The Red Eagles will kick off their campaign with a match against Al Tayaran in the Egyptian League - marking their second-ever appearance in the competition.
“We’ve made the most of our training camp at the Olympic City in the New Administrative Capital, and we’ve received strong backing from the club’s management, especially with the addition of six new players,” Lipoff said.
“Our focus is on continuous development and delivering an outstanding performance,” he added.
Al Ahly’s women’s team claimed the Egypt Cup last season but narrowly missed out on the Egyptian League title, suffering just one loss and three draws that ultimately hindered their title charge.
