Al Ahly team doctor Ahmed Gaballah said on Sunday that defender Achraf Dari will undergo a new medical scan in the coming days to assess his progress and determine a timeline for his return to full training.
Gaballah also confirmed that full-back Karim Fouad is entering the final stage of his rehabilitation programme, with a full return to group training expected soon as he works toward match fitness.
Both players have been ruled out of Al Ahly’s upcoming Egyptian Premier League clash against Al Ittihad of Alexandria on Wednesday.
Their fitness will be reassessed later this week before a decision is made on their availability for future fixtures.
