Al Ahly international players resume training following break

Al Ahly’s first football team resumed training on Thursday, with international players returning after completing their national duties in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Red Eagles are preparing to face Enppi in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday.

Al Ahly football director Walid Salah Eldin confirmed that international players will follow a recovery program on the sidelines of the team’s regular training.

Interim head coach Emad El-Nahhas addressed the squad in a team talk before the session, outlining key points about the upcoming fixtures, with particular focus on Sunday’s match against Enppi following the international break.

Training began with physical drills before progressing to tactical and technical exercises.

The session was held amid the continued absence of several players still on national team duty.

Meanwhile, Karim Fouad and Mohamed Shokri conducted recovery training as part of their rehabilitation programs, while Achraf Dari completed physical training before moving to gym-based rehab work.
