Al Ahly’s senior football team continued their group training session on Wednesday afternoon at the club’s Tetch Stadium at its Gezira headquarters as they prepare to face Asyut Petroleum on October 7 in the Egypt Capital Cup.
The players began the session with a variety of physical exercises in the gym, which lasted 30 minutes, before moving on to ball-based fitness drills and a series of technical exercises.
The coaching staff, led by Hussein Ammouta, put the players through a range of technical drills, focusing on specific tactical instructions, before concluding the session with a full-team practice match.
The coaching staff had previously announced plans for two friendly matches during the current international break.
Al Ahly began their schedule with a game against Libyan side Al-Ittihad Misurata on Monday, while their second friendly is scheduled against Maqassa on Friday.
