Ashraf: Our Aim is to Qualify to the Next Round

Ayman Ashraf, Al Ahly’s football first team defender, spoke on Friday in the pre-match press conference of our game against Raja of Casablanca in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

In his pre-match press conference, Ashraf talked about the team’s ambitions for Saturday’s game and talked about the magnitude of the encounter. 

“Both games will be very important. Our aim is to qualify to the next round. Hopefully, we will do so by starting tomorrow with a victory.”

“I don’t believe there is an advantage or disadvantage from playing away from home in the second leg. Our goal here is to win without conceding any goals and when we travel to Morocco we will try not to concede any goals in order to qualify.”

“We respect Raja of course, they are a big team. I know Ahdad from his time at Zamalek. I hope tomorrow’s game turns out to be in a way that represents the history and the qualities of both teams.”

“We are 100% ready for the game and are ready to meet the expectations of the fans.”
