Al Ahly men’s handball team have arrived at Cairo International Airport, returning from Morocco after participating in the African Handball Champions League, held in Casablanca from 11 to 20 October.
During the tournament, the men's team claimed the championship title, while the women's team secured second place.
The men's team successfully won the African title for the third consecutive time after defeating Morocco’s Montada Derb Sultan with a score of 31–20.
The Red Eagles advanced to the final with a flawless record, topping their group with victories over Ethiopia’s Mekelle 70 (41–11), Ivory Coast’s Red Star (29–12), DR Congo’s JSK (29–19), and Rwanda’s Police HC (55–20).
They went on to defeat Benin’s Flowers (43–22) in the quarterfinals and eased past Cameroon’s FAP (37–14) in the semifinals.
