Al Ahly men’s handball team clinched the Professional League title for the 2025–26 season with a commanding 43–23 win over Sporting in the 12th round of the final stage, sealing the championship with two matches to spare.
Al Ahly dominated from the outset, producing a clinical display to confirm the title without needing results from the remaining rounds.
The victory extended their lead over Zamalek to four points and secured a fourth consecutive league crown.
The title caps an outstanding season for Al Ahly, who have completed a domestic and continental treble.
They earlier won the African Champions League in Morocco and lifted the Egyptian Super Cup in the United Arab Emirates with victory over Smouha.
Al Ahly next face National Bank of Egypt before meeting Zamalek in their final match, which will have no bearing on the title race.
They beat Smouha 29–25 in their previous league outing.
