Injury-hit Al Ahly to face Zamalek in Egyptian League Cairo derby

Al Ahly will face Zamalek in the 9th round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium on Monday.

The Red Eagles have accumulated 12 points from seven matches so far, while Zamalek lead the standings with 17 points from eight games.

Al Ahly will be without several key players for the Cairo derby due to injuries, including Nejc Gradisar, Ahmed Sayed ‘Zizo,’ Achraf Dari, Mohamed Shokri, Karim Fouad, Mohamed Magdy ‘Afsha,’ and Emam Ashour.

The reigning champions hold a strong record against Zamalek in the Egyptian League, winning 50 of their last 130 league encounters. Zamalek have won 29, with 51 matches ending in draws.
