Al Ahly veteran goalkeeper, Mohamed El Shenawy has recovered from a muscle injury sustained during the club's 4-1 victory over Algeria's JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League and is now fit to join Egypt's national team camp.

Al Ahly SC has sent a formal letter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Sunday, following incidents during the second round of group-stage matches in the CAF Champions League, which were detailed in referees' and match officials' reports.

Al Ahly head coach Jess Thorup and his coaching staff travelled to Denmark shortly after the team’s arrival at Cairo International Airport, taking a brief leave to visit their families after the squad was granted five days of rest.
