Al Ahly SC's Board of Directors, headed by club president Mahmoud El Khatib, has extended its congratulations to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), led by Hany Abo Rida, following the national team's outstanding achievement at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The club praised Egypt's players for their exceptional performances and for producing a standard of football worthy of the nation's rich footballing tradition.
Al Ahly also hailed the official reception and recognition granted by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the national team delegation, describing it as a fitting tribute that reflects the Egyptian state's continued commitment to and unwavering support for sport.
Building on this national recognition, Al Ahly has asked the EFA to coordinate a suitable date for the club to honor the national team players, along with the coaching, administrative and medical staff, in recognition of their remarkable achievement.
