Al Ahly’s women’s basketball team claimed a clean sweep of the individual awards at the 29th Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA), which they won with a dominant 77-51 victory over Mozambique’s Ferroviário Maputo in the final.
Raneem El Gadawy was named the tournament’s Best Player and also took home the award for Best Player in the Center 5 category.
Hagar Amer was honored as the Best Rebounder and also won the Best Player in the Center 4 category.
The team’s triumph in the African Championship marks a historic achievement for Al Ahly’s basketball program.
