WBLA 2025: Teams begin arriving for tournament

The Supreme Organizing Committee of the 29th Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA), chaired by Al Ahly board member Mohamed El Garhy, has begun overseeing the arrival of participating teams ahead of the tournament scheduled for 4 to 15 December.

The committee assigned reception staff to assist team delegations and African Basketball Federation officials with entry procedures before transferring them to designated hotels as the countdown to tip-off continues.

Organisers have also held a series of meetings in recent days to finalise arrangements for team arrivals, accommodation, catering, transport and training venues, as well as preparations for the technical meeting and Thursday’s draw ceremony.
