Al Ahly’s first team resumed training at El Tetsh Stadium on Friday evening as preparations continue for their Egyptian Premier League opener against Al Sharqiya Enppi.
The match is scheduled for Sunday evening at Cairo International Stadium and will mark Al Ahly’s opening fixture of the new league season.
Head coach Hussein Ammouta held a team meeting before the start of the session, during which he discussed the various tactical and technical aspects of the match.
The coaching staff placed greater emphasis on recovery exercises during Friday’s session following the team’s return from their preseason camp in Spain on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the goalkeepers continued their individual training under the supervision of the goalkeeping coach.
Al Ahly returned from Spain after completing their preparations for the new season.
The Red Eagles concluded their training camp with a friendly against Spanish giants Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy.
