Al Ahly’s first team resumed training at the Mukhtar El Tetsh Stadium at the club’s Gezira headquarters as they prepare to face Abu Qir Fertilizers in the fifth matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Red Eagles returned to training after a 24-hour break following their friendly against Libyan side Ahly Benghazi last Thursday.
The players completed physical and recovery exercises according to the coaching staff’s training program, while defender Yasser Ibrahim continued his physiotherapy sessions after suffering a ligament sprain in his ankle.
Al Ahly drew 1-1 with Arab Contractors in their most recent league outing last Wednesday in the fourth round of the competition.
Al Ahly are set to face Abu Qir Fertilizers in the fifth matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
